Comment from Ian Carr, Joint Liquidator of Alizyme plc and Alizyme Therapeutics Limited

“I have been recently been informed by a number of shareholders of Alizyme plc that they have been contacted by a company called Dyno-Medical Limited, stating they are acting on our behalf.

I can categorically confirm that I have NOT instructed Dyno-Medical Limited (or any persons or companies affiliated to them) nor given permission for them to contact any shareholder of Alizyme plc in respect of disposing of their shares.

Whilst writing, I can advise that on 21 December 2009 both Alizyme plc and Alizyme Therapeutics Limited converted from being in administration to liquidation. Both Nigel Morrison and myself have become joint liquidators of both companies, which will allow us in due course to make distributions to the creditors (and potentially shareholders) of each respective company.

At this stage, I am still unable to provide an update as to the likelihood of a return to shareholders of Alizyme plc as this depends on the claims of creditors, in respect of which there remain significant claims still to be determined. The potential value of these claims will materially impact upon whether there will be a return to the shareholders. In addition the future success (or not) of the development products sold or to be sold by the companies (relating to potential deferred income) will also affect the outcome.
Consequently shareholders will need to take their own view as to the value of their shares. I am unable to assist in this matter and suggest you take your own independent professional advice"
