Comment from Ian Carr, Joint Administrator of Alizyme plc and Alizyme Therapeutics Limited

"Further to our update on 28 August 2009, I received a number of offers by the deadline of 30 August 2009 for the purchase of one of Alizyme's development products, Cetilistat. We have evaluated the offers and are proceeding with the best offer received. A sale and purchase agreement has been sent to the proposed purchaser and negotiations remain ongoing.

I aim to conclude a sale shortly but at this stage, I am unable to provide any further details of the deal. A further update will be provided after the sale is completed.

I wish to add that the ten Alizyme employees continue to be employed to assist me in achieving the sale of Cetilistat and I wish to thank them for their efforts in helping me to achieve the best outcome for all stakeholders of both Alizyme plc and Alizyme Therapeutics Limited."
